Many people’s first instinct when people offer a hand is to say “I'm good“.

This creates a problem in today’s society as sometimes society has the resources to reach out to other people but, many simply reject it. Yiheng often finds himself in this predicament after refusing help in many circumstances. However, through three personal stories, Yiheng has learned the importance of accepting help while experiencing first-hand, the consequences of rejecting help.

Yiheng explores the benefits of accepting help and stresses the need for people to hone this simple but needed life skill.
