Speech Information
How can we make learning fun?
Six-year-old Belle Zhang has figured out a system that works for her and she wants to teach and inspire others to do the same. The best part about Belle’s four-part system is ‘connecting with others,’ like to her Grandpa, who told her all about what it was like to be a bank teller, to help her with her Grade 1 assignment.
The assignment was to learn about different roles within our community and how each role benefits the community and its members. Belle was assigned the unique role of learning about bank tellers. You will see that Belle got very excited and ‘curious!’
She happily connected with her Grandpa and Google, and asked a lot of questions! Belle did her research and went out on a journey to see for herself, by reaching out to a real bank teller. Belle ‘recorded her findings’ by making a video, so that she will always remember her discoveries and share with her them with her Grandpa.
You can learn many things from connecting with others and tapping into their knowledge & experience. Best of all, you feel closer to people and build up each other’s confidence.
By following Belle's four-part system you can learn to be anything you want to be when you grow up. Belle reminds us all that learning can be great fun. Her enthusiasm is delightful and contagious.
After hearing her speech, you will be more likely to 'Get Curious, Connect with Others, See for Ourselves, and Record our Findings; as Belle recommends. She encourages everyone to be a life-long learner.
